Peter L. Sowash, 60, of 48 Thompson Ave., Bradford, passed away, Sunday, July 25th, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 26, 1950, in Greenville, he was a son of the late Paul H. and Martha (Christy) Sowash Jr.
On November 10, 1972, in Greenville he married Cheri K. (Anderson) Sowash who survives.
He was a 1968 graduate of Greenville High School, and later attended Youngstown State University.
Mr. Sowash was employed at CBI Services for 17 years as a Welding Supervisor.
He was member of the Bradford Gun Club, and the Zippo Golf League.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Jason Sowash of Huntsville AL, and Matthew (Tambra) Sowash of Bayfield CO, two sisters: Janet Truax of Greenville, and Judy (Bill) Reed of Oakmont, one brother, Michael (Linda) Sowash of Bloomsburg, three granddaughters: Kendra Henderickson, Lillian Sowash, and Riley Sowash, one great grandson Cayden Henderickson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Paul H. Sowash III.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave, in Bradford. Private funeral services and burial will be held with Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating.

My regards to the family. I remember Pete from the gun club from when I was a puller there. Such a gentleman and fun man to be around. My prayers and thoughts to the family.
