Emporium Police Chief Resigns

Chief Rufus Jones, of the Emporium Borough Police department, announced that he will be resigning September 25th.

He stated that this will give him time to finish up any investigations and court hearings that he is involved in.

He is reported to be heading to Pittsburgh to continue his law enforcement career.

On a personal note, I have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Chief Jones on a few occasions and he is  a very pleasant and professional man.  Good luck Chief Jones, and thank you for your years of service.
