Four people are facing charges following an alleged assault on July 18th.
The assault took place at a rock pit, owned by Minard Run Oil Company. The pit is located between Rew and Aiken, and can be accessed by trails near downtown Bradford, a trail at the end of Foster Hollow, and a lease road on Summit Road.
There were two victims in this beating, their names have not been released.
One of the victims, made it to safety in the weeds, and called the police.
As police arrived, a truck was leaving. Officers questioned the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, and found out that the victim was in the back of the pick up. Police also found an aluminum baseball bat in the bed of the truck.
The driver of the vehicle, Ronald Jackson, claimed that he was taking the victim to the hospital.
The victim that called the police arrived and told the police that Jackson was one of the men that was committing the assault. He also informed police that he was struck in the face with the baseball bat by Christopher Defilipo.
Ronald Jackson was reported to have made the first swing, and Chris Defilipo, Brandon Mckinney, and Deshina Jo Mckinney, continued to beat on the two victims while they were on the ground.
A large group was at the pit, and other members of the party tried to pick up the victim that didn’t get away, and was told to leave him alone by the perpetrators, and the four continued to beat him.
Defilippo has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering another person, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
The other three actors still haven’t been arraigned yet, but face charges.
Brandon Mckinney faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, disorderly conduct, and scattering rubbish.
Jackson is facing charges of disorderly conduct, simple assault, harassment, and driving under the influence. He is scheduled to be arraigned September 25th.
Deshina McKinney is facing charges of disorderly conduct, harassment, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault.
