Gerald S. “Jerry” Barrett, 63, of 59 Boser Road, Bradford, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born February 22, 1946, in Bradford he was a son of the late Sanford and Naomi Pearl (Weld) Barrett. Mr. Barrett attended Bradford schools.
On July 31, 1976 Bradford, he married Lori K (Poore) Barrett who survives.
He was formerly employed at J. A. Frisina Paving, Kightlinger Excavating, New Bethlehem Burial Service, and prior to his retirement at Wayne Paving Company. He was a former member of the Bradford Moose Lodge, and enjoyed Stock Car Racing, NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Crystal (Jay) Higgins of Limestone, four sons: Rick (Cindy) Barrett, Todd Barrett, Jon (Alexis) Barrett all of Bradford, and Jerry (Tammy) Barrett of Lewis Run, a step daughter, Rosie McNinch of Bradford, a step son, Don Fluent of Findley OH, a sister, Sue Smith of Rew, a brother, Jim (Linda) Barrett of Lewis Run, a step sister, Betty Richards of Johnstown PA., and 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son Justin Matthew Barrett.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday February 10, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. where funeral and committal will be held with at 7:00pm with Rev. Mike Poore officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
