A digital picture documentation program using Microsoft Photo Story will be offered through the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Outreach Services on Tuesday, March 2, at the Outreach Services Classroom at the Seneca Building in Bradford.
Bernie Picklo, Pitt-Bradford academic technology integrator, will teach the class from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the cost of $49 per participant. Participants should bring a flash drive with pictures, a memory card with pictures or a compact disc with pictures and an MP3 with music if so desired.
“If you have events in your life that you have digital pictures of and wish to remember or would like to share in an organized way or document for others to enjoy, this is the class for you,” said Mike Hackett, workforce training coordinator at Pitt-Bradford.
Photo Story is free software from Microsoft and is an easy way to bring life to those pictures just lying around the house. Participants will learn how to put pictures into a video that can be viewed from a computer or burned onto a DVD to watch on the television. Then sound can be added to the end result.
“Think of all the fun you can have sharing your digital pictures rather than just having them sit on your PC or in your digital camera,” Hackett said.
