Michael D. Winsor, 30 of Kane PA, is facing several charges, after using a fuel card belonging to Winsor’s Disposal, and keeping trash collection fees for himself.
On March 15th, it was reported that Winsor, an ex employee of Winsor’s Disposal (owned by Dennis Winsor), had used a Pacific Pride fuel card several times for his own personal use.
Between December 25th of 2009, and March 2nd, 2010, Winsor used the card to fuel his Ford pick-up 10 times, for a total cost of $528.51. Winsor was also reported to have been the only employee at Winsor’s Disposal that was given the PIN to use the fuel card.
Winsor also allegedly picked up trash from the Buckhorn Hotel 4 times between December 2009 and February of 2010. The Buckhorn Hotel was not on the pick up list. Winsor told his co-workers that the business was on a pre-pay account, and then collected money from the owners of the Buckhorn Hotel. After collecting the money, the trash was dropped off at a landfill where Winsor’s disposal was required to pay a tipping fee. Winsor allegedly never gave the money to Winsor’s Disposal.
Winsor is charged with 1 count of theft by unlawful taking, a first degree misdemeanor, for using the fuel card without permission from management, or reimbursement of said diesel fuel.
Winsor will also face 4 counts of theft by deception, a 3rd degree misdemeanor, for intentionally obtaining and withholding money from Winsor’s Disposal and not informing the business of the transaction.
Also among the charges are 4 counts of theft of services, for obtaining services for the Buckhorn Hotel, which he knew were only available through compensation.
Winsor is scheduled to be arraigned on April 26th, 2010 in Kane, PA.
