Betty Lorraine Detrick, 84, of 468 Detrick Road, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Hamot Regional Medical Center in Erie.
Born May 30, 1925, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Olson Cook. On May 19, 1945, at St. Callistus Church in Kane, she married Francis Detrick who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Detrick was a homemaker and over the years had been a very active and involved member of the First Church of God.
Surviving are thirteen children, Carol (John) Stanko of Kane, Nancy Detrick of Kane, Susan (Carmen) Ferranto of Russell, Connie Detrick of Kane, Dan Detrick of Kane, Judy (Tom) Lindsay of Turtlepoint, Jim (Christine) Detrick of Kane, Jack (Kimberly) Detrick of Kane, Linda Detrick of Wexford, Mary Detrick of Bradford, Cheri (Dan) Friel of Bradford, Joni (Jon) Perry of Wexford and Heidi (James) Jones of Punxsutawney; 32 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; a brother, Dan Cook of Jamestown, NY; a sister, Joyce Brown of Forest City, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a daughter Cheryl Detrick; two brothers, Gorden Cook and Fred Cook Jr.; and two sisters, Gloria Skinner and Donna Bush.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 7-9:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M. Funeral services, with The Rev. Chad Troup, officiating, will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at the First Church of God. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
