High Speed Chase Begins in Bradford PA.

Today, at around 11:30 am, a high speed chase occurred in Bradford PA.

The chase began on West Washington Street, when a state trooper tried to stop a motorcycle.  The motorcycle had 2 occupants.

The bike fled, and headed West on West Washington Street, and then turned onto Dorothy Lane.

The bike then turned west onto West Corydon, up Niles Hollow, and onto Songbird Lane, where the bike was reported to have wrecked, but both riders got back on the bike and fled.

The bike and riders were last seen on Route 770, heading toward Warren PA.

Oil Spill on Hedgehog Lane, Bradford PA

At around 11:00 am, an oil spill was reported on Hedgehog Lane.

Crews were called for a HAZMAT response to the area of 158 Hedgehog Lane to contain the spill.  It was reported that a ditch along the road was filled with crude oil.

Upon arriving, the Bradford Township FD Chief, found the source of the spill, and shut off the valve.

The road was then completely shut down, from West Washington, to the top of the hill.

Approximately 1,500 gallons of crude oil was spilled.  Police believe that the valve was opened purposely by an unknown actor, but are not sure yet.

The Red Cross, Mckean County Emergency Management, Bradford Township PD and FD, Corydon Township FD, and State Rep Marty Causer have all been on the scene.

Update

At 3:24 pm, tones were sounded for Bradford Township, Corydon Township, and Derrick City FD’s, to send all available manpower to the scene to assist in the cleanup.

Had to Go, but not too Bright

At 10:27 pm, a Bradford City Police officer reported that he was going to be out of his car.

He reported that he would be out with an intoxicated male that he witnessed urinating in public.

The man was found outside of the Riddell House, on Main Street in Bradford.

A few minutes later, the officer requested that another officer secure the “Sally Port”, and transported the man to the City Station lock-up.

Breaking Glass Reported

At 10:03 pm, Bradford City Police were flagged down and a person breaking glass was reported.

City Police had just left 101 Congress Street for a loud music complaint, when an individual near that address tipped them off to a person possibly breaking glass.

Police noted a male named Corry Robinson as being involved, and ran his name through the National Crime Information Center to see if he had any warrants. It is unknown at this if this man actually broke any glass.

Police reported a residence in the area with a broken window, and went to investigate.

The broken window was reported to be at 61 Congress Street.  The resident at that address was found, and reported that the window had not been broken, that it had been broken for some time.

Police left the area at 10:25 pm, noting that they had not found any broken glass, but a witness had heard a disturbance, and witnessed 2 males running back into a house.

Music is too Loud

At 9:49 pm, a Bradford resident called 911 to report loud music.

The Congress Street resident said that loud music was coming from 101 Congress Street, in the rear apartment.

Police arrived on scene, and didn’t hear any music, but was directed to the house by the caller.  They spoke with the residents and asked them to keep the music down.

Fire in Duke Center

At 9:38 pm, multiple tones were sounded for a fire in Duke Center PA.

The fire was reported to be at 659 Main Street.

The caller reported that the fire was located in an outside building, that was not attached to a residential building.  The caller stated that they were using the structure for making maple syrup.

Otto Township, Derrick City, Eldred Township, Eldred Borough, and Rew FD’s were all dispatched to the scene, along with Otto Township Ambulance for fire standby.

Fire Under Control

At 9:52 pm, Chief 9 reported that the fire was under control, and that all responding units should standby at their current locations, with the exception of the Otto Township units that were already on scene.

Recall

All of the units responding were told that they could return to their quarters at 9:53 pm.

Bradford Township Police Issue “BOLO”

At 2:31 pm, a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a stolen car out of Bradford Township.

A red 4 door Chevy Cavalier was stolen in Bradford Township between the hours of 1 and 2 am.

The car carries the license plate number of GPS-6517.

If you see this vehicle, please call the 911 center to alert the proper authorities.

Structure Fire Reported in Bradford PA

At 12:46 am, a fire was reported in Bradford PA.

The fire was reported to be at 57 Sherman Street.

Bradford City FD was dispatched to the scene.

Second Alarm Called

At 12:52 am, a second alarm was called.

The second alarm brought all off duty Bradford City firefighters to the scene, and put Bradford Township FD on standby at the Bradford City’s Central Station.

Road Closed

At 1:05 am, fire police were brought in to close down traffic in the area.

Minor MVA in Bradford PA

At 12:27 am, a motor vehicle accident was reported in Bradford PA.

The accident occurred at the intersection of West Washington Street, and Mechanic Street.

2 cars were involved, and it was unknown at the time of dispatch if there were any injuries.

Bradford City FD and Ambulance, along with Bradford City Police, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arriving, Bradford City Ambulance reported no injuries and returned to quarters.

Small Fire Behind B&T Contract Cleaners

Around 9:40 pm, Foster Township Police were sent to B&T Contract Cleaners for a report of possible illegal burning.

Upon arriving, police found burning in several barrels.  No flames were noted, but it was reported that it was smoldering very heavily.

Police said that the smell was absolutely horrible, and that it was unknown what was being burnt.

Foster Township Police requested that Rew FD be sent to the scene to extinguish what was left of the illegal burn.

One officer said that he had to leave the scene because the smell was so unbearable.

It was reported that there was plastic, fiberglass insulation, and buckets with unknown contents that were being burnt.

1 officer said that he could smell the burning from Looker Mountain Trail, and the other stated that he could smell the fire from the old Lee Driver School.

Assault Victim in Bradford PA

At 9:16 pm, an assault victim was reported in Bradford PA.

Bradford City Police were originally responding to the area of the Seneca Building, on South Avenue.

Upon arriving, police found an assault victim with a head laceration.

Bradford City EMS was dispatched to the scene to treat the victim.

Stove Fire in Bradford PA

At 8:21 pm, a stove fire was reported in Bradford PA.

The fire was at 9 Chautauqua Place.

The caller said that the fire was a grease fire on the stove, and that he believed that he had most of it out.

The 911 operator instructed him to leave the house, as the house was full of smoke.  The operator was able to hear the smoke detector over the phone.

Bradford City Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to make sure the fire was out, and to ventilate the house.

Funny Call in Bradford PA

At 1:50 am, a call came into the 911 center.

An individual called 911 to report that the state police had pulled him over, and were harrassing him.

The individual was known to the 911 dispatcher, and on duty Bradford City Police officers.

The man was stopped while driving into a car wash bay at the West Washington Street Car Wash, across the street from the Crosby Mini Mart.

Bradford City Police responded to assist the PA State Police.

MVA Near Crosby PA

At 12:25 am, an accident was reported near Crosby PA.

The accident occurred on Route 46, between Route 146 and Crosby.

1 car flipped onto it’s side, injuring 1 person.

Norwich Township FD and Priority Care ambulance were sent to the scene.

Just Visiting

Vehicle Drives Into House

At 11:04 pm, an MVA was reported in Bradford PA.

The accident occurred at 8 Jackson Ave.

A vehicle was reported to have driven into the house.

Entrapment was reported.

Bradford FD and ambulance were dispatched to the scene, along with Bradford City Police.

Upon arriving on scene, Bradford FD reported 5 patients, and requested that a second ambulance roll to the scene.

Crews requested a flatbed for a mid-sized SUV, and reported that “it’s inside the house pretty good, so they’ll be working on it for a while”.

1 male was transported to BRMC by Bradford City Police for blood alcohol testing.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the accident.  The owner arrived on scene at 11:38.

At 11:41 pm, police reported that the vehicle was out of the structure, and that all units were returning.

Update

BradfordPA.Info was able to confirm that there was a passenger between the back seat, and the rear hatch door.

6 people total were in the vehicle.

19 year old Victor Farr, Olean, was driving on Jackson Avenue toward Mechanic Street.  Police say he was driving at a high rate of speed, passed a vehicle, and failed to make the turn before mechanic street.  The Jeep then traveled across the roadway, over the curb, into the porch, and into the house.

Farr is being charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, illegal passing, underage drinking, and corruption of minors.

Farr is being held in Mckean County Jail.

There were no life threatening injuries in the accident.  Most injuries were lacerations, bruises, etc.
